| "In a world in which we often find ourselves isolated
and estranged from one another, my work suggests and celebrates
the possibility of relationship and community where love, support,
playfulness and individual self expression can flourish."
-Peter W. Michel The 1999 Chicago Pier Walk Show was the fifth year of
this show and
is claimed to be the largest outdoor sculpture show in the
world. In 1998 Pier Walk '98 had 171
monumental outdoor pieces by artists from 9 countries. It was expected
that 7 million people would visit Pier Walk '98 during its 6 month
duration. A post card is available of this piece - a notecard is available as well.. Special THANKS goes to my community of sponsors, who made this work possible! On November 8th and 9th, 1999 "Fathers and Sons" was moved to The Wandell Sculpture Garden at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana, Illinois. Also see photos of the move . A World Wide Public Art Project
has been declared: "Fathers
and Sons" CAD drawing & wood version & other information
